And now, a word about Sunday Game Night

Game Friends,
Open on an attractive person. This is the most attractive person you think you’ve seen today, and yet somehow their demeanor instantly indicates to you that they are also very approachable. The attractive and approachable person is doing something admirable and exciting, like doing motorcycle jumps to support a charity that promotes children’s health. Suddenly, the attractive, approachable, and admirable person glances at their watch mid-activity. “Look at the time!” they exclaim. “I have to get to Game Night!”
Smash cut to Nathan’s apartment, interior. In the background we see the clock’s hands pointing to 5PM, sharp. There’s a knock at the door, which opens to reveal the arrival of the attractive, approachable, admirable person, who has brought food and/or drinks to share with the other guests. So punctual!
Wipe to another scene in Nathan’s apartment. We can see from the dimming exterior light that some time has passed. Through the window, we also note that the weather is cold and rainy; a typical April day in Seattle. Nobody seems to mind, though: everyone is gathered around a table, laughing about the board game they are playing together. Empty plates show the evidence of good food shared with good friends. It is, in short, the most beautiful sight you can imagine.
Be attractive and admirable. Be at Game Night.

Fade to black. Screen stays black for almost longer than is comfortable. Just before the audience decides that the movie is over, camera fades back in. The admirable and attractive person is now driving with you to Redmond. It’s about 3:30pm on May 3rd. At first you are confused; why are you in their car? Why would you be driving to Redmond of all places? Are you being kidnapped? But then you remember that last week at game night Helen came a little late and told the admirable and attractive person all about this great show that she was in called Recipe For Love. You and the attractive and admirable person had made plans to go see it together–it was free and you heard their might be cake, so why not? Your panic subsides and you sit back, excited to enjoy an afternoon of fantastical frolicking on the City Hall Great Lawn. Fade to black.
