Upcoming balance changes to Sunday Game Night

From: Nathan

Game Friends,

In an effort to consistently deliver a high-quality Sunday Game Night, we’ve identified several areas for improvement:

  • Rain is overpowered in the current metagame. This resulted in most organizers including nachos in their build, since nachos are a strong counter to rain. To resolve this issue, we’ll be decreasing the spawn rate of rain clouds substantially over the next several weeks.

  • Nerfing rain is essentially a buff to sunshine, so to compensate we’ll also be improving the stats of grilled foods, such as sausages, peppers, and asparagus, by 10% across the board.

  • As the metagame shifts, we may take more significant measures such as activating pool mode if sunshine becomes too powerful.

The first round of changes will go live in the next patch this Sunday at 5pm—give it a try and let us know what you think!

Game on,
The team at SGN

As long as the code is open for changes, I’d like to make a few more suggestions:

NPC’s are small and docile. Perhaps we could upgrade ‘cat’s into dragons or something, and offer experience points when they are slain.

To be honest, I keep running into this recurring bug where the game timer is inconsistent. It seems like the time arbitrarily jumps from about 8:30 to 10 without warning. Please fix this.

One of your mods, Nathan, is a bit of a problem. He’s an abusive mod and is usually drinking on the job. I can’t believe this is the sort of person your team is willing to award nacho-making powers to. He has also made targeted remarks about my character during game play, specifically Loaded Questions.

Thanks for considering my suggestions,

These changes are bullshit and basically amount to a slap in the face to original backers like ME who have been investing in nacho-based decks functioning in the metagame since the beginning. I have chip layering at Rank S. Do you know how long that takes? I just hope the SGN devs really know what they are doing.
