Common Game Night mistakes

From: Nathan
To: Game Friends

Game Friends,

As we all well know, the ritual to summon a Game Night is fairly straightforward. However, due to the tragic events of recent weeks I feel compelled to correct some of the more grievous mistakes I have seen among our acolytes.

Firstly, the blood sacrifice should be placed in the center of the pentagram after it has been drawn but before speaking the sealing words. Physically (or metaphorically) crossing the bounds of a sealed pentagram can only have dire results.

Secondly, it’s important to properly attune the cadence of the Ludic Mantra to the temporospatial qualities of the Game Night you are trying to summon. A slight hesitance can be all the difference between a 5pm Sunday Game Night and a 4am Tuesday Game Night. A sleepy summoner is a sloppy summoner!

Finally, remember that a newly-awakened Game Night has to eat constantly to sustain its infernal internal reactions. The summoner is advised to prepare accordingly, lest the Game Night turn on her; and remember, a Game Night prefers its prey living. Nachos are an acceptable substitute in a pinch.

If any of your students have further questions about summoning a Game Night, please send them to my apartment this Sunday at 5pm for remedial lessons. They would be wise to bring me food or drink.

Nathan
