Do you believe in the significance of the number 23?

For a long time, I didn’t either. But consider this: Sunday Game Night is happening this Sunday, April 19th. April 19th is 4/19 and 4+19 = 23. There are exactly 23 board games in my board game library. Brilliant board game designer Vlaada Chvátil’s name contains two Vs and three unaccented As (23!) and if you convert V and A to their numeric values and add them you get V+A = 22+1 = 23. This email has 27 people in the “To” field and 4 people in the “Cc” field, and 27-4 = 23. Settlers of Catan has 19 hexes + 4 three-to-one ports = 23. “Three-to-one port” sounds like “3 2 1 port” and if you flip that around you will see 23, the number of the beast. It’s basically science!

Even if you’re not convinced about the power numbers have over your life, it would probably be best if you showed up to my apartment around 5pm with some food/drink to share. Please plan carefully to avoid arriving at 5:18, for obvious reasons.
