Setting the record straight about Sunday Game Night

Game Friends,

After the internal Sunday Game Night email server was hacked and its contents posted to Wikileaks, several less-scrupulous news sources have been misrepresenting some of the messages. To be clear, we at SGN condemn this blatant attempt by the Russian government to influence the proceedings of Sunday Game Night; however, it is necessary to correct the record on several issues.

First of all, it has been reported that I said that I like Kyle best. But if you look at the full quote, you’ll see that I’m clearly speaking in the context of nacho-making. The rest of you have never made nachos at Game Night! I would never play favorites among you like that, unless I judged on the basis of attendance records, in which case Kyle would be my favorite.

Secondly, some reports called me a flip-flopper because I considered moving Sunday Game Night to a different night. Look, at SGN we don’t believe in limiting ourselves, so everything is on the table. We’ve considered changing the day, time, venue, and central activity, but focus groups found it confusing to meet on Wednesday to watch cooking shows and call it “Sunday Game Night”. So we’re keeping everything the way it is: Sunday, at 5pm, at my apartment, playing board games.

Finally, some of the leaked emails indicate that guests are encouraged to bring snacks or drinks to share and to let me know if they plan to attend. This part is completely true.

Honestly,
Nathan

We at Kyle Game Night Services would like to acknowledge the recent attacks on Sunday Game Night while simultaneously endorsing no particular Game Night this gaming season. All gamers should play in the game night that they personally prefer, and we support their right to do so. However, recently some reckless accusations have been made. Kyle GNS does not deny the alleged payments of large quantities of nachos to SGN head, Nathan, quantities which are entirely within industry standards for the type of board- and card-game-introduction services provided by Nathan. You’ll find ample public records showing that Kyle GNS itself has paid similar quantities, including the fresh tomato and sour cream options, to a diverse array of other experts in areas that synergize with our nacho- and growler-based market position, such as Brian & Kate cheese and wine consultancies, and Harrison’s Baked Goods and Beards. In a time of such turmoil in the Game Night industry, Kyle GNS stands by its record of impartial service offerings, and strong choice of partnerships.
