Sunday Game Night
About

Let's make Sunday great again

Game Friends,

Do you remember what Sunday used to be like? I do. I remember when Sunday was a day of equal opportunity. I remember rainy days gathered around the games table. I remember when everyone shared the same Sunday values: gamesmanship, community, and the sharing of food and drink.

Today, these core Sunday values—the values that truly define what it means to be Sunday—are threatened by deviant behaviors. The only reason a virtuous person should ever go outside is to get to a different and currently preferable indoor location. The so-called “recreational users” of the outdoors are corrosive to the moral fabric of our great day.

That’s why, today, I’m announcing my candidacy for President of Sunday. If elected, I will defund the sun and increase rain spending by five hundred percent. I’ll put a game on every table and a nacho on every plate.

Join me for my campaign kickoff this Sunday at 5pm at my apartment. (Donations of food and/or drink welcome and semi-mandatory). Together, we can go back to the Sunday we remember from six months ago. Let’s make Sunday great again!

Nathan

When people don’t go to game night, they’re not doing their best to have fun.
They’re not sending their snacks, their ciders, their six packs or hummus or brownies.
They’re not bringing their new games, they’re not socializing.
They’re staying home and being bored.
They’re sitting around and wallowing in depression.
They’re disappointing themselves and their parents.
And some, I assume, are good people with prior commitments.
